        Because every game there are hordes of kids with these signs begging for shirts and it has become really annoying for the rest of the crowd. That’s why they are banned now, it became too much. It’s also highly likely that the shirt will be sold anyway.

        Dunno about other clubs, but Ajax players actually said they find the signs annoying, so we have to confiscate them at the entrance now

        Stop letting your kids beg for things. It’s unseemly and ungracious to emotionally blackmail players into doing something just because they’re kids.

        Because the sheer quantity of them, at some point it got so bad that at some matches it was like there was an entire school class in the front row asking for a shirt. On top of that players get shamed when they don’t give it.

    The Dutch FA has banned them iirc.

    Against Sevilla I saw a middle aged man nearly get into a fight with a Steward because he wasn’t allowed a sign. I haven’t seen him since at PSV hahahaha
