I have the iPhone 15 pro in Natural Titanium, I use the Apple Clear MagSafe case that way it doesn’t hide the beauty nor take away too much from the feel of the phone but still protects it. I also have a privacy glass screen protector on the front!

Do you have issues with grip with that case? I returned mine because my hand would hurt from how tightly I had to hold the phone with that case to keep from dropping it…

Nope not at all, and I have pretty big hands! It’s sturdy and comfortable enough for me 🤷🏽‍♂️

This is why you go naked and get apple care. Every iPhone I’ve used is naked…train yourself to never drop it. Usually put screen protector and lens protector

I do this but the titanium is way more slippery to hold. I’ve already cracked the back screen from a single drop. The 13 pro I had before was unbreakable. Literally dropped that thing a straight pavement multiple times. This the first time in years where I’m going to have to get a case.

I think that the 12,14 and 15 have been the worst so far. The XS Max was indestructible. The 13 seems tough as well. My 12 pro max was shattered in a case from a less than 2 foot fall. My XS Max feel from the Rocking Roller Coaster in DisneyWorld’s Hollywood and it didn’t phase it. I’ve heard that the titanium makes the 15 much more fragile. They say while the backs crack easily the repair costs aren’t near what they were with previous models. Not a great selling point. I think they should move back away from glass backs. Surely they can figure out a solution so that the MagSafe works with a thin metal back.

Interesting, in my experience it’s the opposite. My 15 PM is way easier to hold and grip than my 12 PM

I used to use an Otter Box Defender case until they stopped the built in screen protector which I prefer. Then switched to the Unicorn beetle pro. I found another brand FNTcase very similar to the Unicorn Beetle case in more color choices. A little slimmer. I bought the Purple case which was hard to find in this type of case. I love it. A personal choice, but for my dropsy hands I prefer it.

My gripe with the plastic screen protectors is they’d trap in grit and would actually scratch up the screen over time.

A popular “hack” was to tear out the plastic screen protector and put on a tempered glass one anyway.

I’ve been really lucky that my screen doesn’t get scratched with the plastic screen protectors. I’ve heard of that hack, but never tried it. When the Otterbox Defender series first stopped making the built in screen protectors I tried it with a tempered glass screen protector. When I switched back to a case with a built in screen, the glass seemed to come off fairly easy. Could have just been in my case. I do think about getting the Otterbox Commuter case some as it is lighter. Maybe sometime.

Sounds like my story exactly. I loved the Unicorn frost case that I got for the 14 pro max but it yellowed fairly quickly.I Blason is another good cheaper option. I used Otter Box Deffender cases for years but switched last year and didn’t go back with the 15 either.

I had one of those cases, except that a PLASTIC BOTTLE broke the screen through it and I no longer use it.

The built in screen protector is like the cheapest, easiest to scratch and delicate one ya can get. There’s a really small amount of adhesive on them. Once they break or start looking horrible I just pop the built in protector off and put a good heavy duty glass one in it’s place and that’s worked great so far.

A case is going to be a lot cheaper than AppleCare. Otterbox sells cases that are thin and clear but are still very protective. Plus you don’t have to worry about being without a phone for God knows how long when it inevitably breaks from a drop.

You have the option for “Express Delivery Replacement” with AppleCare so you don’t need to be without your phone.

If it’s too inconvenient to go to an Apple Store and wait the ~50 minutes for a repair.

Maybe you don’t need it? I got into a motorcycle with mine, scraped my whole arm and wrist and my ultra didn’t even have a scratch on it. But maybe I got lucky with mine specifically 🍀

I have the first gen Ultra naked since launch day paired with the Apple link bracelet. Watch is in perfect condition and the bracelet is scratched up where it touches table surfaces. It’s a tough cookie! The band doesn’t bother me because it’s just a watch.

I use a 15PM in natural naked. I just use a MagSafe pop socket on the back and a tempered glass screen protector. (Got the pop socket for $5 at TJ Maxx, good deal!) I can remove it for wireless charging etc. in a second and it protects the camera hump.

I use apple products due to their simplicity in connecting them. I use them also due to their Qualität/durability. I use them due to their nice desig. I also use their cases on ipad, iphone…. The titanium is nice, for sure but in my opinion not necessarily needed at least it gives also a weight reduction.
