From 'Bauhaus’ guitarist, Daniel Ash side-project band ‘Tones on Tail’. (Beggar’s Banquet label.) This 1984 single from (only) album Pop is from back when goth was finding itself.

Ash goes on … with David J (bass guitar and vocals) and Kevin Haskins (drums) … to found band ‘Love and Rockets’ (1985-1999), which releases 7 albums.
Really underappreciated band and one that I like more than Love and Rockets.
Same here. Looked for the producer; WP says they produced their (earlier) album themselves. Haven’t heard that album yet but will very soon!
