Guys I’m so sad I’ve only had my macbook for 2 months and I’ve been taking a lot of care of it but it already has a dent somehow, no idea how it even got there. I’ve legit used the headphone jack 2 times and it looks so bad now since it’s a little caved in.
Good grief
I give you $5 for it
It’s trash now, best to give it to me /s
But that sucks. Now that the bandaid is ripped off, the next scratches or dings won’t be as bad.
Hammer that shit out, bro!
It’s a sign that you used it. Show your scratches and dings with pride.
Time to upgrade
Disassemble the whole chassis, buy industrial grade aluminium and an industrial furnace.
First create a mould after fixing the dent by putting some putty where the dent is and sanding it out.
Later use the furnace to melt the industrial grade aluminium and put it in the mould.
Take out the fresh new chassis and anodize it in even blacker black, later put everything together and enjoy your fixed better than new laptop. :)
If you want to go further in modification get industrial grade titanium, might even go further for radioactive substances so it powers itself but that can get slightly expensive.
Great post.
I wouldn’t worry about it too much. I’ve had some gnarly dents on literally all of my macbooks. Sometimes on the bottom, sometimes on an edge, sometimes by a port… It’s gonna happen eventually if you use it like a laptop.
Bro couldn’t find the hole and missed
The day I bought my MacBook Pro in 2015, because it’s so slim and it bevels so sharp, not to the touch, but to the Apple Bag it was in, it in sliced through the bag, fell perhaps 4-5 feet, & left a tiny, but noticeable ding on the Mac… zero damage to the MacBook other than that since then, and it’s taking its share of falls. Excellent build quality, and hopefully that is still the case as I love to upgrade either this year or early next.
