Hi folks - long time lurker first time poster. Thinking about ideas for Xmas to give my wife and I’m inclined towards a driving experience and could use your help - what would you chose if you could take one for 6 laps at a track? (Toronto Motorsports park). The most exciting thing I’ve ever driven is probably my 79 Vette so I’m a complete noob when it comes to these. I’m leaning towards one of the Porsches so I hope it’s ok to post here

Appreciate your input!

Neither of those Ferraris are 458 Challenges. The red one is the 458 GTE car and the yellow one is a 488 Challenge. Also both of those pictures are from Forza

    Agree with the 458 challenge.

    Otherwise GT3 RS 991 > 992 GT3

Obviously the RS. The 992 has the updates front suspension but I still think the 991 will outperform it.

992 GT3 - it’s light, compact, and probably not as intimidating as the other cars. Idk your wife’s track experience but you wouldn’t want to put her in a 458 challenge evo if she’s never driven a super car.

I forget how the saying goes but “it’s more fun to take a slow car fast than a fast car slow.”

I’d definitely start with the GT3. The various spyder models will not be good for the track, and the GT3 will be the most accessible and intuitive for a first time track-goer.

Tbh in this selection I wouldn’t get the Porsche. You don’t get to understand the nuances of a 911 here, but you have the opportunity to drive an actual race/track car in the 458 Challenge

This, and it’s not even close. I love Porsche and I will probably never own a Ferrari so this is the way I’d want to check out the experience.

Everyone loves accelerating, but I absolutely love breaking in a 458. Slowing from 160+ on a straight to make a hard turn is one of the most exhilarating things I’ve ever experienced.
