Is this a rare Toyota? Is the price worth it?
Pretty clean but I got a rust free well maintained 1994 80 series for around 10k with 180k miles and sometimes I feel like I overpaid but all good because it’s a 80 series Land Cruiser 😍
wtf? dude 20k? are they are smoking the best meth on the islands brother
Da Kine
Dat batu brah
I mean he paraphrases the standard greedy boomer line right in the ad. “(Ridiculous price) I know what I’ve got.”
For 20k you can buy a low mileage FJ Cruiser or 2010-ish 4Runner. An 80’s Landcruiser is not worth 20k to anyone except a collector… which I doubt you are because you’re asking this question.
With wheels that ugly he either 1. Never took it off roading or 2. Has never been off roading in his life until he got that thing and seriously abused the shit out of it.
Look at those tires… they are bald AF. No way the seller has been off roading or even trail riding.
Something is up with that vehicle. The person posting the ad is clearly not a car person by some of the terms/ phrasing they used IMO.
Those tires look bald AF too. That will run you another 10% of list right off the bat.
Be sure to have it checked out by a mechanic you trust if after your own inspection you consider going forward.
The motor from a 1993 land cruiser should have lasted much longer before needing a rebuild if it was properly maintained and/or not aggressively used.
So IMO it was either used aggressively and I would be worried about other mechanicals like steering and transmission OR it was not maintained in which case I would still be worried about other mechanicals.Lol 20k. “I know what I got” type beat
The Hawaii tax 😂 classic. Everyone here seems to think they’re million mile Toyota truly held it’s value for the last 25 years . I wouldn’t touch a single vehicle that spent that long it the crude salt air
Thats THE legend . Probably it will outlive you.
jeeeeeez 20k for a land cruiser model 80???
wtfffffff
lmao, ya go for it
Transmission flush on a high mileage vehicle would make me nervous
Nice catch. That’s a bad idea.
Fucking hell Hawaii sucks harder than CA with cars… This is 8k generously tops.
20 grand?!?!
You should probably post this over on the Land Cruiser sub.
If you have to ask whether an 80-series cruiser is good, I have two things to say:
-
yes.
-
it’s probably not what you want.
