Hi! I recently purchased a throttle body for my 2009 Corolla from rock auto. After some research I was under the impression that Denso or Aisin would be decent choices for me and a little more economical (money is tight lol). I received the part today and the box says both “Aisin” and “Aisan”. The part itself is labeled “Aisan”
I re-read the listing like 10 times and it only ever says Aisin.
To me, they seem to be different companies. I went by auto zone tonight and it was the same situation: Aisin box with “Aisan” part.
Are they the same thing? Hopefully I’m not being over dramatic. I just want to get my car running ASAP and I don’t want to put a junk part in.
Thanks in advance for any advice
Return, misboxed mislabeled part.
For a genuine AISIN part.
They’re both good and are the OE supplier to Toyota.
Read the sticker on the part closer.
Ok, what do I do next?
Spot the difference? It’s a bootleg part in a legit box.
Aisan makes throttle bodies. You don’t think products can get licensed to other companies?
Fair enough. TIL…
Gotta be a knock off
I could be wrong, but that looks fake. No reason a legit part would be misspelled.
I personally think they might’ve well put “Asian” lmao
U racist?
Your comment history is filled with calling people racist, you ever thought you’re the racist one? Some people just amaze me.
That’s correct and not a knock off. There is a company called Aisan that makes stuff like throttle bodies, tps, charcoal canisters, etc. They are OE and nothing to worry about.
Aisin does. Aisan does not.

Google is your friend. Legit, Japanese company.
The box is correct, the part is not. Aisin is the parts supplier
