You really can use stats to tell whatever story you want. Carragher decides to focus on the league ranking changes in attack/defense, while the xG story points to an overall improvement because the drop off in goals is negligible while the improvement in goals against is significant.

Taking a look at the pool sub and their rival threads, the disrespect we get is mad lol I like it that way. They think they are better than us with a leaky ass defense and the gk that’s been saving their butts now gone for 5 weeks. I hope this time we are able to complete what we started at anfield last season. Seeing a whisper quiet anfield on tv would make my month.

Don’t mind them, Liverpool fans still believe that after their CL and PL wins that they’re a dynasty, despite man city outdoing all of their achievements in the past 3 years

I guess they kind of are - they were very fucking good and felt mostly unchanged. They reached 3 CL Finals and didn’t win the PL because of City being so (perhaps artifically) dominant.

You can see a quiet Anfield in pretty much every game, even when we played them last season they were quiet till the goal/xhaka and trent depending on who you ask. Most overrated atmosphere of all time, all because they sing a quick pop song at the start

I really wish we could watch their show in the U.S. (even this is banned for me)

Has sky ever had talks with a U.S. broadcast provider to somehow maybe show these in the future?

If you have access to Spotify you can hear the audio via the Sky Sports Football podcast. The Arsenal analysis starts in the last 7 minutes of the latest podcast following the Fulham and Wolves game.

Honestly you really dont want to watch these guys. Reading the responses on here are enough to tell you that these guys are unintelligent biased losers. I much prefer the US coverage I watch via streams since I stopped giving SKY my money.

You really don’t and they snippet the “best” bits on their YouTube channel anyway. If that too is banned then get a VPN or find a YouTube channel that does a copy version of it without the goals or live play.

Having someone beside Partey who can play at 6 is nice, and hopefully Saliba and Tomiyasu arent injured together again

Even if they do get injured, this time we can trust Kiwior to atleast play good enough for us to not shit the bed.

Weirdly I feel better about our chances in the UCL than I do in the league. We’ve scraped out a lot of wins with excellent defense and timely late goals. That kind of style will lead to us dropping some points from draws in the league, but we will be a tough out in the knockouts because we just don’t concede all that often.

I’d be inclined to agree IF we continue on this trajectory. It’s been good defensively so far but still a long way to go. Last season we conceded way too many goals in the run-in so the jury’s still out for me.

I’m very concerned about our goal scoring ability. They are not scoring as freely as last season, and if feels like we are scraping by. A good defence is more important, so perhaps we are in a better place, but we need to get back to scoring.

Aslong as we are secure at the back, our desire will get us goals, hopefully jan will allow us to seek a potential new striker but yeah… TOP so i dont get care how we play

Safe choice. But let’s be honest. The way we were before saliba got injured, you had to be in denial. It’s not like he could predict saliba and tomiyasu double injury. I personally still feel that if one of them were fit, we’d have done enough. Ben white at CB and Tomi at RB was our bread and butter the season before and I’d have counted on them to take us home 😭

We still look stronger and I’m loving the team right now and I feel like we have a good shot at winning it this year or next so I trust the process

The fuck are you talking about. He’s watched Liverpool put up better challenges to City, as well as watched them win the league and the ucl

Why would he care about us finishing second

It’s a joke bro. The fuck are you taking it seriously lol.

Also he’s seen Liverpool lose the league to city more times than win it by that logic. He doesn’t care about us finishing second as much as he’s afraid that city will win it anyway because He’s experienced that with Liverpool atleast thrice now. You need to experience humour more
