People like fire… 🤣 Especially random spontaneous fires.
My sister in law loves Musk… she wants the Cybertruck 🤣 I told her it’ll be available “Next Year”…
That being said, I hope Mazda elects not to turn the Miata into an EV.
Even with all the claims that NOONE wants a Ford EV, I’ve seen plenty of MachE mustangs around. It might just be that NO ONE wants to pay over fifty grand for a Ford EV.
Tesla makes the closest thing to an affordable and relatively nicer EV in the Model 3. The price has gotten more competitive lately too. Also having the lead on the EV market certainly has helped.
Only like GM and Nissan make something relatively competitive in the budget section with the Bolt and Leaf. Hyundai and KIA are certainly catching up too.
Only real feasible option if you really want to admit it.
Mazda would take off in the US if you could buy them without going through a shitty dealership.
This is kinda true.
I’m looking forward to the Mazda CX-50 Hybrid using the Toyota hybrid drivetrain (2.0 toyota engine with 3 electric motors, including electric driving the rear wheels for AWD under ~35 MPH. The CX-50 and Corolla Cross hybrid are built in the same factory, I’m almost positive that the CX-50 Hybrid will use the same drivetrain as the Corolla Cross Hybrid AWD.
HOWEVER. I probably won’t be buying one, because I expect it to start around 40k MSRP and only go up from there. Which is still, in my opinion, not an affordable vehicle. Of course, different people’s definition of affordable will vary greatly.
That’s not what my eyes are telling me during my commute. I’m seeing more and more non-tesla BEVs on the road daily from other brands. Tesla is still the majority, but that seems to be shrinking.
Ppl up look
Hyundai? I’ve seen plenty of Ioniq’s
Without sounding like an emotionally challenged 25 year old EV fan boy, I’ll tell ya EVs are a failure for majority of people at least in the US. Insurance, part availability, weight, cold weather range, charging times, price, cost to replace batteries, fire risk, charging availability and wait in line times. EV is just an expensive paper weight.
I will get a Model S the moment I’m no longer underwater
A huge point is dealerships. Nobody wants to deal with a sleazy car salesman that is trying to get as much commission off of every sale. Just go online, and you can buy a car. Easy. No markups, no “premium air in tire” charge…
I’ve seen Teslas using Mazda parts for camouflage, are they conspiring with eachother???
