This was before I got on Lithium, since then I’ve been completely stable. But looking back at these graphs it’s quite frightening

I didn’t have bipolar disorder but I had depression some years ago and used the same app.

My graphs actually looked quite simelar but with the most days feeling neutral or bad. But I had the same sudden downs.

The sudden downs (and ups) are really frightening. Because you know that nothing happened to trigger it, and it’s really just your biology fucking around

Here’s another 3 months of stats.

It always makes me all warm and fuzzy happy when I hear Lithium working well for someone.

Lithium was the first BP med I tried. It didn’t work for me and the side effects made me miserable.

I think I’m just a super nostalgic and sentimental person. Ahh, memories. 😂

      :)

Sad to hear that lithium didn’t work for you. I have zero side effects luckily, except hypothyroidism for which I take L-thyroxin, and have zero side effects again.

Have you found meds that work for you?

I tried many meds before lithium In order

      • Quetiapine. Due to psychotic mania . Worked like a charm
      • Aripiprazol. As a replacement for the Quetiapine. Because I had depression and no energy. Worst medication I’ve ever tried. I didn’t make it past the first 3 days due to severe akithisia combined with being really tired and sedated. Pure agony holy shit. Stopped it and back on Quetiapine again.
      • Lamotrigine. Didn’t work at all. Even with 325mg daily my serum levels were way too low.
      • Escitalopram. It worked a little bit against the depression, but my QT time was prolonged so I had to stop.
      • Lithium. I was hospitalized, and we decided to try Lithium. First they fastly tapered me off of Lamotrigine. Then started Lithium. It works perfectly. I don’t wanna say it and jinx it but I really feel like I’m cured. Euthymia is nice.

      Right now I’m on 675mg Lithium, 300mg Seroquel XR, and 50mcg L-thyroxin.
