      Eh, there are no pedestrians where I live. If you can’t drive you stay home or you call someone else for a ride. So tall hoods are no problem!

    Y’know all these articles show big pickups, but the problem doesn’t end there. Even smaller vehicles are getting stupidly tall hoods. Just look at the Chevy bolt as an example. There’s literally no reason for the hood to be that high. I drive one, and the front sight line bothers me a lot. I find myself turning on the front view cameras regularly so I can see things I should be able to see naturally.

    we’ve known these designs are dangerous for ages, why aren’t there consequences for manufacturers intentionally building vehicles that are demonstrably unsafe?
