Did you actually think they would give you free reign? There will always be some mini dictator at the top.
The Nostr technology does not allow for mini dictator’s. It was basically designed to remove that power. If people are worried about Vitor’s Amethyst filter code there is already a fork with it removed.

There are dozens of nostr UI’s. So if one is being lame you can easily swap it out.
I’m still trying to understand what happened here. But it looks like there is some kinda spam filter and some people are worried they are being labeled as spam.
We will be able to smooth out these kinda issues overtime. It’s like the wild west in nostr land.
The spam handling on nostr will be a problem though. It needs to get it right and is a do it right or die problem. While you can always manually unblock people and things if you don’t get visibility because some activist group mass flags you this could be a problem.
You can view reports in your profile in Amethyst. Looks like lots of people have reported you for saying n**ger a bunch, random shrek dick pics and calling people Fags and stuff.
You can toggle if you see filtered post or not in settings .
This seems mostly fine to me. Just that it needs to be more clear how these reports work and how post get filtered.
