Terminology is telling here. “Slitting a throat” is an act of murder and stealth, used to kill an unsuspecting victim with premeditation. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a presidential candidate use the term, although there’s been plenty of violent rhetoric over the years.
There a reason for that - it’s a coward’s way to kill. The face that Ronnie drops it like it’s a normal fantasy of violence (like punching an asshole, or shooting an intruder) speaks to a deep, underlying pathology. This is a man who lionizes deceit and cruelty. I wouldn’t want him looking after my goldfish, much less my children or my country.
