      So what’s the alternative? They didn’t donate to a politician. They basically pledged 20 million to separately run pro desantis content. Desantis has no control over what that money gets spent on, unless he’s breaking the law.

      The alternative is to not allow people to publish books, or blogs, or articles, or write signs. Because all those things cost money

        Well you see, it might surprise you that a world exists outside of the US. A world with many examples of democracies that do not allow unrestricted donations. And guess what, democracy still happens when politicians don’t take millions from single individuals to “write signs”.

    It’s sad that someone can afford to flush $20M down the toilet on a failed candidate like Meatball Ron while there are kids in the US who don’t get enough food.
