Lovely composition. The image has a really interesting value structure, keeping focus on the dark tones that starts at the woman’s coat and snakes upwards, against a nice warm background of neutral tones.

The way the subject’s face is framed (bracketed?) by dark tones (her coat, her hair, and the shadows on the bark) really helps draw the eye to the main focal point. I also enjoy the way you’ve reinforced the focus with leading lines (the way the tree snakes around to keep guiding your eye back to her face).

Sorry if this is all elementary bullshit - I’ve been learning about the importance of value structure in painting, so now that’s all I’m seeing, haha.
