oh look, its the same time as that stopped clock.
29.2 tweets a day?
At a rate of 10,658 tweets a year, I’d hope he tweets at least one useful thing
29.2 tweets a day?
The brilliant businessman is clearly hard at work.
Tesla board member and close Musk confidant Antonio Gracias once took Musk’s phone away to prevent him from tweeting late into the night, Isaacson said during a Twitter Spaces event on Wednesday.
“At one point when Elon was firing off tweets without filtering them in the least, they were on a trip and Antonio took his iPhone — Elon’s iPhone — and locked it in the hotel safe with Antonio punching in the code so that Elon couldn’t get up at 3 a.m. and start tweeting again,” Isaacson said, describing Gracias as “one of Elon’s closest friends.”
Musk later got hotel security to open the safe at around 3 a.m. so he could start tweeting again, Isaacson said.
The biographer added that Musk is “almost addicted to the drama that comes with Twitter” and sees owning Twitter as a way he can be “king of the playground.”
“It’s something he loves — loves almost to the point of compulsion,” Isaacson said, adding that some of his friends, including his brother Kimbal Musk, attempted to convince him not to buy Twitter.

a broken clock is right twice a day
No this dipshit just says whatever he thinks is going to be the most popular with the tech bros he is desperate to be in front of.
Not sure what relevance a broken clock has to the discussion or the OP.
It’s an expression. In this context Elon is the broken clock and saying desktops should run Linux is one of the rare times he’s been right about something.
rare times he’s been right about something.
Started a space company, and an EV company. Both longshots, both wildly successful.
Bought Twitter. Laid of 80% of the employees. Still runs totally fine.
Your position is nakedly indefensible. I’d be curious what you think he’s actually wrong about.
These comments are insane. Even Hitler washed his hands. Are you gonna stop doing that just cause a piece of shit agreed it was good?
Nah, probably not, lol.
But I have been meaning to try some BSD flavors to be honest.
Careful Linus. This guy may start claiming he is a confounder of Linux any moment now.
Musk certainly is confounding.
Elon just tries to get approval by finding a dominate opinion among a group of people and parroting back what they say and want. Kinda obvious and pathetic.
He will release X-OS, a fork of Ubuntu, which is half broken, and has Grok integrated in it.
He’ll get sued by Apple for infringing on their OS X trademark, and he’ll invent laws claiming he’s in the right, and he’ll lose billions, and then he’ll claim he invented Linux and he’s a genius.
I kind of want to see this go down. There are a few companies you don’t fuck with. Apple is definitely one of them. I am sure their lawyers are just as smart and soulless as Disney’s
Unfortunately, XOS has already been taken by Infinix, a budget phone brand that primarily sells in Africa, for its own ad-riddled bloated Android skin.
Based off the Ubuntu 24.04 release, which already seems half broken, it’s perfect.
The nice thing about Linux is, he can’t buy it and fuck it up.
He can still fuck up the community.
How?
Let me put it to you this way.
Elon Musk fanboys, now running arch.
Just… Let that simmer for a minute.
Anyone smart enough to run Arch is smart enough to recognize Elon is an imbecile.
As a complete idiot who uses arch on her main PC, I can attest that you don’t have to be particularly smart to use it.
Take it from me, people who openly say they’re idiots usually aren’t. Socrates: I now know I know nothing.
He’ll claim he invented it
Well, he at least invented X11…
You say that, but I’ll be more than willing to try and sell him a copy of the source code.
For extra irony, sell him an NFT to the source code.
He’s not wrong
I have been using Linux since 1993. Maybe it is time to move on.
Where are you headed next?
See you all in the Solaris community
Eww, we stepped in some Elon… 🤢
oh, so that’s why its so musky in here
Do teslas run android, or something else? Elon encouraging the use of Linux isn’t surprising, but if his vehicles and sattelites we’rent also using Linux, I’d be more surprised.
Huh, they actually do:
And Matt Monson — who moved from the Dragon project to SpaceX’s satellite internet service Starlink — posted that Starlink uses a lot of application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs), and that they too have a lot of experience with Linux. “For some level of scope on Starlink, each launch of 60 satellites contains more than 4,000 Linux computers. The constellation has more than 30,000 Linux nodes (and more than 6,000 microcontrollers) in space right now.

Do teslas run android, or something else?
Probably Hurd. /s
He’s gonna do an enshittified distro, just you wait…
Well, if it acts as a gateway drug (like ubuntu), then we are on the good side, right?
I’ve only ever tried one distro. Please enlighten me on what’s wrong with Ubuntu.
Nothing is really wrong with any distro. They each just have they general strengths and weaknesses. Different distros for specific tasks.
It’s all just a flame war.
Broken clock.
Time to switch to BSD
Welp, off to macOS now. Sorry guys I can’t be a part of this community anymore.
