      I think that the post is joking about the fact that it’s working despite the communist association. A lot of institutions branding themselves as communist haven’t done very well.

        That’s just the mentality of the west. You’re a communist, therefore you must be bad. It’s a stereotype. The idea behind communism is not bad if you get into it, but years of propaganda has done a lot of damage to it’s reputation.

        Not talking about actual implementations, just the concept. There are a lot of bad things done on both sides of the fence, communist countries included.

    The entirety of lemmy.ml isn’t communist. Its admins may be, but from what I can tell it’s simply the largest and most active instance with a large variety of posts and content. I honestly don’t think I’ve seen a pro CCP post since I’ve created an account (but I have seen a very large number of anti-CCP / anti-tankie posts)

      That’s neat for all those people, but I prefer not to have my comments and posts removed/shadowbanned because they don’t align with the mods or creators beliefs. That’s censorship and is generally considered to be wrong.
