To disable the animation when switching virtual desktops in Windows 11, follow these steps:

  1. Open Settings: Press Win + I to open the Settings app.
  2. Go to Accessibility: In the left-hand menu, click on “Accessibility.”
  3. Select Visual Effects: Under the Accessibility section, click on “Visual effects.”
  4. Turn off Animation Effects: Toggle off the switch for “Animation effects.”
  5. This will disable the animations for switching virtual desktops as well as other animations in Windows 11

I can really feel my machine feel a lot snappier, but it’s all just the animations being gone.
