Starting in 2005 with Forza Motorsport on the original Xbox Turn 10 have released a new entry in the series every 2 years like clockwork. With Forza Motorsport 7 releasing in 2017 we are currently in the longest period without a new Forza Motorsport game.

As it has taken 6 years to develop the new game you would think the track list will be among the longest of any of the Forza Motorsport games.

It’s not. I’m fact there are just 20 locations at launch which is less than Forza Motorsport 3, 4, 6 & 7.

The locations coming at launch are…

Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya
Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps
Eaglerock Speedway
Grand Oak Raceway
Hakone Circuit
Homestead-Miami Speedway
Indianapolis Motor Speedway
Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit
Laguna Seca Raceway
Le Mans - Circuit International de la Sarthe
Lime Rock Park
Maple Valley
Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course
Mugello Circuit
Nürburgring GP
Road America
Silverstone Circuit
Suzuka Circuit
Virginia International Raceway
Watkins Glen International Speedway

Most locations will have several different layouts and more tracks are coming after launch with Nürburgring Nordschleife coming in Spring 2024. While The game might be light on tracks at launch we do know that the game will include over 500 cars when it releases.

Only played Forza Horizon, but 20 seems a bit on the low side, right?

Did others release more tracks regularly?

I may be wrong but I don’t think Forza has ever had post release track DLC. They have had regular car DLC but not tracks.
