      Wisconcom’s Specials and Final Smash

      Neutral Special: Truth Gun

For his neutral special, he wields a gun. Specifically, the gun is a revolver labeled “Truth Gun” (inspired by OP’s message) and if you look very closely at the bullet it shoots out, there is something written “DIE, REVISIONIST RATS!”

      Side Special: Vandalism

Wisconcom gets out a computer and types something down real quick. It turns out that he was writing on a combatant’s wikipedia page about how they are a dirty revisionist! The closest enemy combatant suffers explosion damage as long as they are close enough.

      Up Special: ALMIGHTY HOXHA!

Wisconcom’s about to fall, but the spirit of Enver Hoxha appears behind him helps him fly up in the sky for a bit so Hoxha’s strongest soldier can slay the revisionists.

      Down Special: Bunker

You knew this one was coming. It functions just like Kirby’s down special, only that he turns into a Hoxha-era bunker. However, the difference is that when he turns back to normal, the bunker still stays there so you can turn into a bunker multiple times and thus place an expensive amount of bunkers to prepare for the thermonuclear war with Yugoslavia and Greece.

      Final Smash: Thermonuclear

Wisconcom gets on his computer and finds out… oh no…HE’S BEEN BANNED ON PROLEWIKI! The spirit of Hoxha appears behind him and commands him to jump up and down across the stage. Any combatant caught in the jumping is set flying into the sky, where Wisconcom appears once more and shouts “Now…you have forced me to go THERMONUCLEAR!” All of a sudden, a thermonuclear bomb falls out of his mouth and it lands on the stage, instantly eliminating all combatants except Wisconcom.

He probably wouldn’t actually punch or kick, just send words like “revisionist” or “social-fash” from his mouth.

Do you not realize you are fat shaming by always using a fat guy as the bad character in your memes? I love the line on the belly to make extra sure everyone knows he’s fat. Using glasses as an insult all the time on those characters is also ableism.

Glasses as ableism is a massive stretch, it’s not like it’s 5 inch thick frames. What a strange thing to attack.

But I feel like he’s not “fat” for no reason(that’s hardly a morbidly stereotypical depiction like right wing memes like to use, that’s moderately overweight at best). But because it’s a common problem for those who are extremely sedentary, as those who are terminally online are, to develop weight problems due to their lifestyle.

This isn’t making fun of him for being fat either, it’s saying that he’s spending so much time online that he’s probably neglecting to care for himself, as exercise and healthy eating is a vital part of self care and hygiene.

In every meme, not just from op, there is a fat, evil character who always wears glasses. Curious isn’t it? Neglecting to take care of yourself is literally the first sign of mental illness. You people will never understand that using those things to mock someone is simply wrong…

My point is that any meme depicting a bad person will always depict him as fat and a glasses wearer. It’s not just you who do this.

Every meme? The guy drew two?

So you’re saying that every single person should always be drawn without any variation? No differentiating character traits, no character traits that can be perceived as negative in any way?

The meme is not mocking him for being fat. Being fatphobic is wrong and going out of your way to insult someone’s weight is strange and terrible, but demonstrating that an extremely sedentary lifestyle will usually have negative consequences on a person isn’t a slight.

Also we have no idea what Wiscom looks like, you can draw him however you like. It’s not like there’s a massive arrow pointing at him saying THIS IS A FAT LOSER, or something overtly hostile like that. And for the record, that is not even that fat. He didn’t draw him as a 400 pound stereotypically rotund neck beard.

Also what does having glasses have anything to do with this? Again, I struggle to see how this is mocking or making fun of him for having glasses, other than the fact he simply has them. Anyone can have glasses, no matter how you look.

Dude you are not understanding what I’m saying. In memes,NOT JUST OP, almost all of them depict a bad person who is fat and wears glasses. You are pushing a bad stereotype… the so-called “neck beard”

My end question is simply. So? This is a semantics argument and has absolutely no meaning whatsoever. Its a complete non-issue.

“Almost all of them” is a massive exaggeration as well, and that is absolutely not true. There are many standard “negative” meme standards.

Thanks for the direct insult, you don’t even know that I’m a man anyways. Do you not realize that you yourself have just made a stereotypical remark and attack? “Typical man”, what’s that supposed to mean? Please tell me without making it seem like a broad generalization.

Also great to know that I’m a horrible person for agreeing with you that fatphobia is bad, but helicopter patrolling every single little things you don’t like is absurd. Especially when its completely inane and unrelated. Why should everything bend to your tastes?

I mean, I think he’s the only “meme” character I’ve ever drawn, can you give me any other examples? The reason he’s fat is because he’s terminally online and never moves, and he wears glasses because he stares at a computer all day. Maybe you’ve gotten me confused with someone else?

i feel its not really about whether his behavior indicates that maybe he looks like that but rather the implication that u think its funny, like ur joke is “the gays, am i right” but with fat/visually impaired people just kinda tasteless.

i was just pointing out that u have made the same “joke” more than once since u stated so confidently that u hadn’t. it had nothing to do with my point that ur “joke” is shit and tasteless. The problem isnt that u only direct ur “joke” to this asshole rather that u think what u did is a joke and is appropriate.

It’s not a joke, it’s my interpretation of an annoying, terminally online kid. If Wisconscom looks like a gigachad and can bench press five tons in real life, great. Until we find proof that he can, I’ll draw him however I please.

it’s my interpretation of an annoying, terminally online kid.

I think this might be the issue? A similar stereotype of terminally online people is constantly used as an ableist strawman by reactionaries. A layman looking at this meme wouldn’t be able to differentiate how it’s humor would be any different from an ancient 2012 meme making fun of furries.

I don’t think you intended this, especially because it’s become it’s own stereotype people reproduce unconsciously, but the criticism is valid as a general criticism of meme culture in general.

I do feel like the top level comment wasn’t even thinking from this perspective and may just be trying to stir up shit but obviously I can’t prove that. I apologize if that is wrong.

You do have a point, although I haven’t been around the internet that long so I haven’t seen any of those. However, what else would a terminally online guy be portrayed? This isn’t intended as a “gotcha”, I’m just curious what alternatives there are.

You’re right, it’s probably a difficulty in seeing how the view could be harmful because thats not how the artist intended the meaning to be carried out. It might be seen as problematic by some, but it seems to be an extremely thin tightrope with no clear answer.

Artistic disagreements are always a hot button.

u posted a meme to a meme community if it wasnt a joke then what was it are u lost or something. or are u trying to back peddle cuz u got called out on a shitty thing u did. are u seriously saying u just randomly decided to draw someone we all hate as a negative stereotype just by chance and not because u were trying to make fun of them because u think less of people who look like that, like come on man atleast own up to what u are doing. and again it has nothing to do with the particular asshole u are trying to depict and everything to do with what u think that depiction means.
