    Still don’t understand this one, from what I’ve seen from Raya is actually quite error prone and too casual on the ball. If we got a top tier keeper I can understand benching Ramsdale but Raya doesn’t look like a significant upgrade.

      I agree. Not sure why everyone else seems to take it has a given that Raya is an upgrade on Ramsdale. Personally I think Raya has had several very worrying moments and his long and middle range passes out from the back are not convincing to me at all

    My thing is, why does he always feel the need to go to a publication or podcast all the time? He does this more than any other of our players. This has to at minimum get the attention of Arteta.

    It’s football. Players lose their place to better players all the time. I feel like the fans who are really emotionally deep into this and calling it “unfair” are completely forgetting (or ignoring) that this is exactly the same way Ramsdale got the job in the first place over Leno. Wasnt 10% of an issue in media then as this is being made now. Imagine if Aaron Ramsdale were German or French or any other nationality and not an England international and you begin to see how unnecessarily hyperbolic the discourse around this whole thing has been. We don’t need camera shots of Ramsdale during games every time Raya does something. We don’t need random footballers (some not even goalkeepers) being asked about the situation.

      Understandable, it’s normal, it does happen, but Ramsdale was still a good keeper and a great person, it’ll be rough to see him leave. Unfair? No. Rough? Yes. Or at least I feel so

    One of them will leave in the summer and I suspect it will be Ramsdale. You just can’t keep two top class international keepers happy.
