All the data supports Raya and the fact he doesn’t allow pressing pressure to deter his game style is also something Mikel really wants (as stated by him multiple times)
Yall are so dumb bro, they’re keepers not midfielders. I think before any passing stats are looked at you should look at goal keeping stats before anything and then go from there. Yes players and teams are becoming more progressive by playing out from the back but not every team has a need for that.

What do you mean? You don’t think it matters who starts in goal? This is going to happen until we have a clear choice and that is leaning towards Raya. Or would you rather we not talk about it and just throw in a random keeper every game?

What about leadership? Presence? Fire/passion? I’m worried about the lack of a “dog” in our current starting eleven. With xhaka’s exit we lack there. Ramsdale brings some intangibles to the table that I always appreciated in a teammate and frankly do as a supporter too.

Ramsdale last year made some of the most critical saves in games that allowed Arsenal to stay in the hunt as long as they did.
I’m a United fan, I wanted Raya but my god, I’d take Ramsdale over him any day.

I still feel more settled with Rammers between the sticks. I feel like he’s got less XRPG (expected ricks per game) in him than Raya. It’s a gut feeling that I can’t quantify through stats.

No, I don’t want stats as though they’re a centre mid. They’re goalkeepers, I want to know goalkeeping stats… all the basics like Saves etc

You’re seeing why Raya is favored by Mikel this is the crux of the issue. Raya is better at distribution while being, at worst, similar in traditional GK stats. This is all with Raya playing a more difficult role. It hurts to say but Raya is just flat out better.
