Our manager, first one to go away to Spain in the champions league, first win after 2006 there, picks a team that controls the game, gets the job done, puts in the right subs, shuts the game down, and gets 7.24 as a rating.
We haven’t won in Spain since 2006?
not since beating Villareal in the CL semi
edit: oops- we drew away. Real Madrid then.
Wait what did the referee do wrong? Literally booked an ex spurs player for diving in the box.
Apart from that one decision he was clearly in Sevilla’s side so the stadium/fans don’t start booing. The ref is not neutral enough and is not good enough for CL estandards.
Maybe I’m not as tribalistic as you guys or maybe I’m just used to Premier League referee standards but I thought he was perfectly fine.
he was terrible. gave away fouls to Sevilla in the same situations that he didn’t for Arsenal
its not about the big decisions, its about the small ones that kill a attack
You guys really hate Raya.
He’s nervy and makes bad mistakes bro. Of course people are going to complain.
Just like Ramsdale? His ball playing fell of a cliff to start the season, constantly being caught in possession or punting his passes into touch.
Saka getting underrated as usual
The agenda against raya is insane
Man, seeing our captain with the lowest rating just hits different! I’m looking forward to Martin getting back in form soon.
I’d say it’s because I bought a teal CL Ødegaard shirt, but read Billy Carpenter’s last post, he summed it up nicely: “Teams are increasingly learning that if you can cut off access to Ødegaard, you can kill the link between the progressors and the last line of attackers, because there is not enough creative outlet otherwise.”
It wouldn’t surprise me if he just needed a rest. He covers so much distance and does so much high intensity pressing
I’ve saying this. We need to rotate our press Ode leads it toomuch
Play Havertz in his role for once… let us try that. it wont harm us much against SU at home. It if works great, if not let us make subs at around 60/70…
all this is futile as we know how stubborn our manager is to make changes to the starting 11 (excepting for playing Nketiah) and to make early subs!
Even Saka can be replaced/rested in the next game… but that would be too many changes.
Martinelli Jesus Saka
Trossard Havertz
Rice
Eddie took that performance personally and decided to do something about it
I thought Jorgi was a bit worse than Saka and Raya with a 5.3 is a bit too harsh. Other than that the ratings seem fine. Rice carried the entire midfield so Jorgi and Ode should definitely pay for dinner the next time the lads dine out.
Jorgi had a couple stand out mistakes that certain ppl are giving a lot of weight and totally disregarding the positive things he did. All in all he was much better than the Chelsea match.
Saka is way too low, he was good.
He was mostly invisible
I unfortunately was unable to watch that game, but the most interesting thing about these ratings is how the left side got very good ratings and the right side did not. Was it obvious throughout that our left side was the bomb and our right side bombed?
I feel Tross is too low for the defensive shift he put in. He did great.
TOMI-GOAT-SU
What do you need to do to get a 9 if scoring individual goal out of nothing + dribbling past 2 defenders to set up 1 on 1 which ended in goal + another through ball that also set up Martinelli for 1 on 1 was not good enough?
Wait what is that Eddie rating?
Ref needed a 0.
Not saying anyone deserved it here, but have you ever seen a rating below 6 on sofascore for a game that wasn’t completely fucked? It feels like the rating system goes from 5.8-8.
Odegaard got a 9.1 in the Bournemouth game which I thought was crazy for them
