Spurs fans need a humbling ASAP. Can’t read the shit about how Pep is copying Ange and how Bissouma is the best 6 and 8 in the league.

I can’t deny Spurs are playing well but holy shit every 50/50 or incident has gone their way so far, easy schedule, insane refereeing fuckups, every team having key players injured except them, even now Neto gets injured just before they play each other

Spurs fans think Bissouma is better than Rice? Oh dear, that Jorginho gift at 2-1 is going to delude that lot until we next meet at the toilet bowl…

Meh. We created little apart from that. Odegaard was bad, and Nketiah as striker with Jesus on the left blunted much of our attack.

What do you think will be our defense this Wednesday? Can Saliba and White get rested together because I’d want that?

Cedric - Tomi - Gabriel - Kiwior is what you’d see with both White and Saliba rested. Personally I’d start White cause he isn’t playing in the international breaks and he takes care of his body very well. Saliba yeah I’d bench.

Tomi - White - Gabriel - Kiwior will start I reckon (as Tomi and Gabriel didn’t start on Saturday and White was subbed early).

Tomi/White might start the other way round.

On the plus side for United, Real Madrid have a good number of 30+ year olds who they can buy in the summer to be permanently inured for them. That should fix their problems

Hale End boys seeing Nketiah, Emile Smith Rowe and Saka starting at a Premier League game, Nelson off the bench as well…

This can be the difference maker between a very good and a GREAT academy. The desire to achieve what the previous lads did is a huge motivation boost.

I still think we’re yet to see our best, we don’t have Jesus. Odegaard and Saka aren’t even at their best as well.

yep, and we have not seen Rice - Partey. Man that middle will make us so solid. And of course when Partey plays he makes the passes between the lines that nobody else makes in this team, that will make Odegaard and Saka better

It’s games like that where Nketiah scores a hattrick where you remember Lacazette managed 2 NPGs for us in an entire league season

      Lol what

Yes laca was gassed by the end of his time here. But his peak years were far bteee than anything Eddie has done. He even got player of the season for us

Eddie banging in some goals v one of the worst teams ever in the prem (at this rate) should just erase the stuff laca did for us

Would you be happy if we just won the FA cup this season? Realise it is too early for us to be talking about trophies, but as far as expectations go, what trophies would you want us to really focus on and get this season? What would be the benchmark for success this season for you?

Personally League and FA would be us really excelling. But I am not sure we can do both so I would not mind either. Given the progress we have had as a team I would be lowkey dissapointed if we only won the FA. But I still wouldn’t mind it. Champions league, I only expect a decent run. Ending up in the Semis would be great, if we got dumped at that stage I wouldn’t be too mad. The lads will have gotten a nice feel of the competition at that point and we can go again next season. The league is tricky coz city always just feels like a shoe in and despite our start, it could really go either way with Liverpool and Spurs (yes) now in the mix.

Yeah I think so. As long as we maintain ourselves in the league and come second to city then there is no problem in only coming away with the fa cup.

I think it would be a shame at this point to not win the league cup.

I can’t see United getting in to Europe this season.

Villa, Brighton and Newcastle are just so much better atm. Even West Ham could pass them on the table

There’s 5 cl places this year so assuming they don’t get a repeat of last year’s utterly insanely easy run to the league cup final then seventh will get them Europe and as long as they have their customary rashford streak at some point they’ll pull that off.

What Ange has done in his first season - it’s certianly impressive. Forget the PL position and the points - they play good football.

But Spurs has had a relatively easy schedule so far, and robbed Liverpool thanks to the refs, and drew against us thanks to Jorginho’s brain fart and Rice going down. Also helps playing one game a week.

Let’s see how they do in the next 6 games.

Give credit to Ange for improving the team drastically in a short period - but this PL title challenger narrative is just stupid. Horrible take from Wenger.

If they don’t get key injuries they’re going to challenge for CL qual or higher. Reduced load in the schedule is going to be big.

I want to agree, but I find it hard to do so without feeling slightly hypocritical. We were in the exact same situation last year & we all knew we were 1-2 injuries away from things going downhill, but I still felt that we were title challengers from quite early on.

Obviously I’m a bit wiser now & know not to consider ANYONE in a title race unless they’re within 5 pts of 1st @ gameweek 30. I do genuinely think atleast 3 of the current top 4 will be there at that point though…
