It probably gets 95% of the calls right. FIFA says 99.3% but I don’t think so. Still, if it didn’t exist everyone would be crying to implement technology like they did before. Think of all the goals/no goals that have been rightfully overturned. Even if there are some horrible calls sometimes, the good calls outweigh the bad ones.

The problem with VAR is that it’s not all upside. I imagine the number of correct decisions has gone up but we also now have long pauses in the game and we’ve lost those moments when a team scores and celebrates because we know it’s a goal.

The rules of the game weren’t written to be under this much scrutiny. Using virtual rulers to measure offsides. It’s ruining the game

Plus it was brought in to stop the howlers and hasn’t done so. They still happen anyway.

    Get rid of it

I’m a Spurs fan so the VAR decisions have gone massively for my team not against

The “correct decisions” argument is evidently bollocks anyway. Just watch any PL broadcast when you’ll get some ex referee claiming that the officials have got a decision right when everyone can see with their eyes he’s talking absolute bollocks. It’s pure gaslighting.
