Isn’t this already the fourth time that they killed AR glasses? First they killed consumer Google Glass, than they killed Daydream (that could do AR with the Mirage Solo passthrough), than they killed the remains of the business side of Google Glass and now this. They also spend at least half a billion on MagicLeap.

At this point it could be a business model to create a basic smart glass to get bought out by Google.

Another competitor purchased and quietly shut down soon after. Google innovation at its finest.
