in 2 weeks I will be visiting my first Bayern game in the Allianz Arena. I have a few questions for the stadium veterans:
- I will arrive from Oberpfalz by car: What is the best spot to park (Park&Ride in Fröttmaning, or directly at the parking spots of the Allianz arena, or even outside for example at Garching and go with the subway)? The goal is get a parking spot and not to stuck in the traffic after the game.
- How many hours/minutes should I be at the arena before kick-off in order to get to my seat without stress?

Enter the stadium and reach your seat won’t take you a lot of time, but if you wanna buy something in the fan shop, you should arrive in much advance(for myself I spent more than an hour in queueing up). Line in food and beer could also take up to tens of minutes, but they locate at every blocks thus easily to reach even during the match.
I usually take the train from Amberg, but drove recently and would recommend parkplatz p1 on the upper floors. P1 because it’s the closest to the Autobahn ramp when you leave. Upper floors because you get to drive out directly from your own lane, instead of waiting for everyone to merge into you.
The reason I wouldn’t recommend the train or P+R is because even going north it is a huge, slow crowd after the match to get to the station. It might seem like you save time going north, but you only save a few minutes compared with those going to the city, but you lose 30-60+ minutes trying to get over the bridge.
True. Either try to get out fast (I hate this) or take your sweet time when coming on from Garching or you are stuck on that stupid bridge.
For anyone else, who wants to visit the games from Munich, when you are visiting the City for example. Always take Metro and not by car at the Stadium. Rookie mistake. May take an hour or so to leave. The Metro is quite full, but not too stressful in my experience and after a win, it’s also cool to be in the Metro.
Get in at least at 14:00 if you want the maximum , the Atmosphere berore kick off is great
P2 Parkhaus in Garching Hochbrück. Any different answer is just wrong if you are arriving by car. It doesn’t fill up at all on match day like the P+R. It’s covered and not expensive. It’s one stop north which means you don’t get stuck in the line of about a thousand people all at once trying to take the U6 south into Munich. You can easily walk on any train to go north. I had a midday weekend match recently and my car was one of 4 in a structure that could hold probably 200-300? No one seems to know about this yet. It is the way.
If it’s a CL game there is a chance of an ex player being in the Museum. Against Manchester it was Elber, and against Gala Sergio. However, the last entry for the Museum is usually around 17:30.
I went there during the Manchester game, and Elber showed up around 18:30. So if you have the time, and want to take a picture, and get an Autogramm, it might be the perfect opportunity.
