I really like him. If we ship Partey and Elneny leaves (retires?) wouldn’t mind him staying to keep some continuity.

He’s transitioning into a coaching role, he clearly loves the club so I expect he’ll gradually make the switch before fully retiring in a couple of years

For purely football reasons I would prefer keeping Jorgi over the other two. For 🐐 reasons it has to be Elneny

Yes, the midfield brain drain would be tough with losing Xhaka one summer and then Partey, Elneny AND Jorginho the next. Lots of experience out the door.

I’m very much in doubt, I would like to return but I don’t know when the right time would be. I want to return yes, but I don’t know when, I feel I still have things to do at Arsenal.

    misleading title

Yeah, if anything it sounds like he’s trying to deflect from the idea of returning to Italy at the end of the season

i’d rather partey leave and we keep jorgi as a leader and capable backup, with the assumption we are definitely re-inforcing the position next summer.

I think they should both go. Partey is too unreliable with his fitness and I can already see Jorginhos age catching up on him, thats not something that will get better over the next 18 months. We need to be able to see problems like that coming and act before they are upon us.

Given how unreliable Partey is, would rather we extend him as he has the experience and leadership qualities that would greatly help our team.

How is Partey unreliable? He’s had some injuries this season, but any player can get injured. He hasn’t been notably injury prone otherwise, has he?

These people are lunatics. Partey played 2500 minutes over 33 appearances in the PL last year and now they label our star player as so injury prone they’d keep Jorginho over him.

What in the ever living fuck makes people so confidently misinformed.

They want him gone bc of his potential off field issues and are scapegoating him and his footballing abilities because of it. Zinchenko, Jesus, smith rowe all way more injury prone but you won’t hear a thing about that

I would give him another year with an option for both to extend for another, he’s a great squad player and provides valuable experience as well as obvious leadership qualities.

We absolutely need at least one other body in the midfield as Partey is just a walking sicknote at this rate but losing what Jorg provides us would cost more than what we pay him every week so in the short term it makes sense to renew.

He’s 32 next month and I think he can carry on in his current role for another 2 years at most.

Jorginho is a really solid guy. I would like him to stay at least for one more year.

IMHO he is our best transfer from Chelsea.

Sure, so long as he’s content being the 4th option and available for absorb minutes in Cup fixtures. He’s only getting older, slower and more of a liability defensively.

Personally I want to keep him. He seems more than okay being a rotational player. Having him at CDM for cup matches is a luxury. Arteta seems to really like his considering the fact that he’s worn the arm band
