Man city didn’t have any injuries (almost) before the break, now suddenly they have “timed” alot of em before Liverpool game. I see this happen alot in recent time, some teams more then others. I believe they will play everyone but Kevin. What do you guys think?

(Not a Liverpool fan btw)

Pep doing Pep things, he does it all the time, no sane Liverpool fan believes him and wouldn’t even be suprised to see KDB start at this point 😂

Didn’t haaland get injured in the Norway game? Like you think pep said go play then in the middle of the game fake an injury? Seems far fetched to me

I think fans of club teams often underestimate how much players like playing for their national sides. While we view international breaks as inconveniences the players for the most part enjoy being back with their national team teammates and friends and playing for their country.

I guess that means my answer is, no I don’t think there is a conspiracy in which city players are faking injuries to rest up for the PL

With the stacked schedule now I definitely think every player is always injured or have some sort of knock. Arteta says it about Saka, if you want to be at the top level you have to play through it.

Doesn’t mean the clubs won’t use that to their advantage when it’s time for international break or tricking the media.

Every club does this. Pretty sure most of the minor 1-2 week injuries that occur the week of an international break are bogus or something a player would have played through at club level.

Then again who can blame clubs when international setups don’t give a fuck about long term player health and the league does nothing to try and help teams with players out on international games.

I absolutely hope that guys like Kova and Rodri are too “injured” to play for their international teams but will be able to play for Liverpool, especially Rodri. The last thing I want in this world is losing Rodri again to injury.

Haaland I think had a legit issue in his Norway game (that wasn’t some Man City plot, or he wouldn’t have started the game) but it doesn’t seem too serious.

The entertainment you completely nutjobs provide on a daily basis is amazing. Sitting here and watching you all have the most insane meltdowns and come up with the most ridiculous conspiracies is so much fun. And it’s all only because City are better at kicking a ball around a pitch than the team you support

Thomas Partey is the exact opposite… That man is injured 24/7 until Ghana has a game and then he’s fully fit again.

I think it’s more of the managers having a say in it over players. SAF was notorious for doing this. I honestly wouldn’t blame the managers one bit, in an already over congested fixture list an international break every 3 weeks is too much.

I’ve been noticing a lot of players from a lot of different teams getting “injured” during this break especially. It’s probably because clubs don’t want to risk them, and most importantly, alot of these nations are already qualified/eliminated for the Euro tournament or their current round of qualifiers aren’t that important. So what’s the point of risking injury right now if the games aren’t that important for most nations?
