I don’t mind paying for things like external drives or cloud storage, but I would like to know what would be 1. safe from hackers, 2. safe from nosy people in my life, 3. convenient to use from my main laptop and iPhone, and 4. secure from physical damage/deterioration.

These are personal files. For reference, I have a Google Drive, an iCloud Drive, local documents on my laptop (not a Mac), and then other photos/documents on my iPhone (which I think are also on my iCloud). I also have some hard drives, USB drives, and SD cards with their own data on them that are not backed up anywhere else.

I want to consolidate all this data (including my iPhone photos) so that I can manage and access it all from my personal laptop. My initial thought was to move everything to iCloud, but I saw that people had things deleted by iCloud. I could also move everything to my laptop and back up with a hard drive, but what if the laptop breaks and the hard drive breaks too?

Wondering if anyone has suggestions for consolidating everything as I’d like to pick the right thing for this project, which I can then continue to use in the future.

Thanks in advance and I apologize if this is the incorrect forum for posting this inquiry.

Well, I’d say that a single device can’t be both easily accessible and secure. A NAS like Synology wold be my choice for simple and convenient access and then another backup to B2 with rclone.
