It’s ok but it’s missing tons of normal maps features, like pausing your route
Also I’ve found it breaks on CarPlay if disconnect your phone
Great but also a slow and not super user friendly interface.
google maps + drawing you own routes is better. plus you can have like 15 routes on one map.
Nice app
Looks like this is Apple only? C’mon, Porsche!!
I used it for the first time Friday and it took me on a route that was not much of a road. It was washed away in places, had giant potholes, was mostly one lane, and part of it had fallen into a ravine. Some of the route was basically unpaved because of storms last year that had still not been fixed. It was far too bumpy for my sports cars.
I would have turned around but I had no cell service to plan a different route and would have missed picking up my kids at school.
I was also in my Audi SQ7 with the performance package that uses the suspension from the Urus and after my fear of falling off the side of a cliff subsided I had quite a good time blasting through the terrible road at speed. The SUV was a necessity because of my family but I now understand what it was actually made for.
Does it tell me where the radar traps are?
I’ve used it several times in areas away from my home PCA region. Have been generally happy with it. Most favorite thing: it shows upcoming passing zones! Least favorite thing: when the original driver who recorded the route drove a few “dead ends” looking for the best route, you end up following them there.
Good to know this exists. I was about ready to start building my own app to do this. Last time I planned a rally it was a pain via Google maps.
Is this Apple only? It’s not available in the Google Play store.
Another app I like is Curvature: https://roadcurvature.com/
It uses an algorithm to calculate which roads nearby are winding and the most fun to drive.
Sheitttt, I need to give this a go.
I’ve used it occasionally to find routes that I wouldn’t have normally thought about. Loops from nowhere to nowhere mostly which is a nice way to get away and still have a great drive. Often where there’s less ppl too. Edited: typos
