Hi everyone, this is my first time owning a car. It’s a 2020 Honda civic. I had the « service » light turn on so I took it in to my local Honda service center. These are the issues they flagged and the estimated cost for each. Are these prices fair? Or are these things I can easily/safely learn to do on my own? (Ignore the wiper insert replacement, I can definitely do that on my own)

Thank you in advance!

I wouldn’t try to do the CVT Fluid yourself. The Dealership would know how to do it best. And if you do it, and fuck it up, you’re screwed. If the dealer does it, and they fuck it up, you get a new transmission.

On Hondas it’s super simple to do on the 1.5 L engine. If you can do a oil change you can do the cvt oil. Don’t pay someone 100 dollars more to do it when you can do it at the same time as a oil change.

I agree, if you’re capable of doing an oil change, the cvt fluid is just as easy to replace. That said, someone taking their car to the dealer, usually isn’t doing their own repairs. The cvt fluid price isn’t too crazy, but I would find a trusted local mechanic and have them do it. Make sure to use the proper fluid. i wouldn’t replace the wipers unless they aren’t working well. Everything else on that list needs to be done, but not necessarily at the dealer.
