I’m looking for a 17" laptop just for web browsing and watching videos. I came across this Acer Aspire 5 laptop with a 17.3" screen (1920x1080), 16GB RAM, and a 512GB SSD for $470:

I haven’t seen any other 17" laptop with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD for less than $650. Is this Acer Aspire 5 a good laptop?
It can be depending on the specs.
Would a laptop like this, or in this price range also be a good laptop for someone who wants to learn how to code? I need to try to find myself a laptop that will only be used for downloading movies and learning how to code. No gaming or anything like that.
Thanks a lot for any input!
Try used?
Bought a 15.6" Acer Aspire 5 earlier this year to replace my aged Acer 14 chromebook. It’s great for basic use. Two downsides for me. One, I’ve learned that I don’t like the number pad on the side. I much prefer a centered keyboard and touch pad. Two, the screen isn’t as bright as I’d like it to be.
