Just curious to hear about everyone’s different driving styles. Personally, I’m almost always in Sport Plus and manual mode because I didn’t buy my 911 to drive it slow lol.

    Normal mode in the neighborhood, Sport mode on the road (suspension and exhaust follow suit).

    Never use Sport Plus day to day because the ride is way too harsh and you lose 7th gear, plus, it’s designed for a track anyhow.

    I switched to a heated multifunction from the SportDesign wheel because a heated wheel is great, steering wheel volume is great, and controlling the tft with a little mouse wheel is great.

    Sport Mode 99.9% of the time (991 Turbo S). Occasionally use the flappy paddles if the road is very twisty and I’m in the mood.

    It takes a bit of time to warm up engine and transmission and most of time I am kipping it in normal mode but keep switching between sport and normal auto in dense areas with a lot of lights but once everything is up to temps and/or on a nice back roads i am in sport plus with manual gear lever shifting

    Turbo S. Sport in town, regular for long highway, sport plus for being a hooligan. Some manual in sport, almost exclusive manual in sport plus.

    Auto mode. Normal if wet or snow, sport if dry. At first I tried to do my own shifting, but figured out that it’s better to just use the mode switch and sport response button to tell the car what to do. It will shift better than me.

    Depends on traffic. Other then that it’s usually blipping down on turns, the shift to second is a harsh uprev. The manual transmission is more fun on spirited drives, nothing beats a the need to heel and toe.

    Auto in sports mode. I have an aftermarket module that starts the car in the last mode it was operated on, so I don’t have to select sports mode when I start it up.

    Automatic normal for stop and go city traffic and smooth highway driving. Manual sport plus for speeds up to 70 km/hr, manual sport for speeds over 70 (in order to access 7th gear if I want to save some ga$). I really enjoy manual mode as it reminds me of when I learned to use the paddle shifters on the old SEGA GP Monaco arcade game! I am rarely in sport plus in automatic. Actually I just had the car into the dealer and they reflashed the ecu so that the auto transmission doesn’t shift anymore at the redline but around 4-5k now. This is good for the street, but would be mad and have it undone if I tracked the car!

    I drive in auto and only put in sport mode when I’m on a twisty road where I can really drive it. Have not tracked this car, yet. First experience with PDK and I love it.

    981 base cayman, no sport crono.

    Using auto, sport mode off until oil temp is above 80c then either auto without sport or manual. Rarely use auto and sport for some reason.

    As soon as I got my car, I replaced the steering wheel with the Sport Design wheel because I intended to shift manually. And I did for a few weeks. But then I tried auto and I never really looked back. Nowadays I drive mostly in auto, regular.

    I might shift manually on track if I still went to the track but, even on track. PDK learns very quickly the right gear.

    Got a 991.2 GT3RS, only time it’s in auto is when I am pulling it back in the garage after a wash. Sport and paddles!

    i enjoy having full control. all my previous dct cars (m2 comp, gtr, 458) i only drove around in manual mode. automatic transmissions cannot predict the road ahead, so if you get to a hill in 6th gear it waits for the engine to lug or feel stressed before it kicks down. with manual shifting you are in the right gear before that happens.
