Evening, I have a Mazda CX-5 year 2016, recently the bolts holding the injector brackets have snapped and the brackets have broken, I have had them all replaced including the bolts, there are no traces of water in the air filter nor in the engine itself, any advice what could be causing this issue
have you checked the fuel injectors for any signs of corrosion? sometimes that can cause stress on the brackets and bolts leading to breakage. also, consider having the fuel system pressure tested to rule out any issues there.
Does your car have the 2.2l diesel?
Yeah 2.2l diesel
I read on another forum that incorrectly torquing those brackets will cause small stress fractures that lead to them snapping under load.
sounds like a tough situation, but glad to hear you’ve already taken steps to fix it. have you checked the fuel quality or considered any potential issues with the fuel system? might be worth looking into.
