Let my little cousin drive my g20 330i msport. Everything went smooth until he runs over an island curb to pull up to my neighborhood. Sounded like alignments were breaking. When i checked it, except the front bumper being all scratched up, no visual damage on tires or body. I’m worried if the car is fucked up from the impact. Are g series suspensions and alignments strong? I’m doubting since some are aluminum😭

Depends entirely on the speed, size of the curb, and luck. Get an alignment done and have the mechanic visually check the suspension while they’re at it.

A curb might do no damage, or it might do 21k of damage (as I learned the hard way this year).

21k… Like when theres a lane wide pothole on the highway without any warnings and you crack both front wheels, the subframe, the oil pan, the front diff, the transmission pan, half the control arms snap and the entire front fascia is destroyed. But yeah normal curb at low speeds especially head on doesnt necessarily affect the alignment at all. Cars are generally build to take anything going tires first and even going slightly airborne that way shouldnt hurt.

In my case I literally hopped a curb at a grand total of 8mph while making a left turn. Somehow broke the control arm, full suspension rebuild, steering rack replacement, two new wheels…
