Hi guys. iPhone user since 2009. They have Galaxy S23 Plus on discount for Black Friday for only 699 euros here in Italy.

Does it make sense to ditch iPhone for Galaxy? Or will I get a bad deal?

The thing that is bothering me about iPhone is the prices. If you want an iPhone with a large and smooth screen, you’re forced to buy iPhone 15 Pro Max at 1399 euros.

That is DOUBLE the price of the Galaxy.

There is iPhone 15 Plus for 999 but it has a 60 Hz screen, which I hate. And it would still be a leap from 699 to 999, not a little.

Who among you has switched from iOS to Android? Good or bad idea? What will I miss? And what will I love? Thanks!

Commenting on my S23 Ultra. I’m a tech junkie and I’ve been using both OSes simultaneously for the longest time. Here’s my 2 cents to help you decide.

    1. If you know what you are doing, the change from iOS to Android will be seamless and even fun for the most part, otherwise, it will be a painstaking experience.

    2. Ignore the customization part of the comments. In all honesty, I do it where I customize the hell out of my android phone. If you’re just an everyday user though, go back to point number 1 because you will find it a pain in the arse just to do it. Basic customization though is fairly simple and accessible. And remember, the novelty always wears off after some time.

    3. Someone already said this but this is very-very important. If you’re already baked in Apple ecosystem, then forget about Android, let alone the Samsung on discount as most of your stuffs will not work as intended the moment you switch to Android.

    4. Lastly, it’s just a phone. Unless you absolutely in dire need of the latest and greatest, just get the 14 Pro Max. Should save you some money and use the saved money to buy lightning to USB-C adapter.

    Cheers!
