With the rise of people reporting issues like faulty buttons, screens and the like I think I’d be nice to hear how many people already got their OLED Decks and got zero issues with theirs.
Got my OLED everything works except for VPN configs auto-connecting on device reboot this causes the steam deck to get such on “Logging in” screen for long extended period of time before taking me to the home screen
I’m unable to disable “Auto-connect” option because the “Apply” button is persistently grey or disabled in the network configs
Also kdewallet keeps harassing me in desktop mode anytime I add or remove new configs the kdewallet script doesn’t work and kde wallet manager doesn’t workDid a factory reset and image re-flash but still the same result
really agitated by thisMe I got my oled today works great super fun
All is top tier quality. Nothing I can say about it.
I got my LE on the 5th. I don’t see any dead pixels or anything wrong with the device at all. My only issue with it is I wish there was a way to transfer all your roms to your new deck easily. I used the method EmuDeck had and I spent over 2 hours trying for it to fail each time. So I gave up and am going to have to install stuff again manually.
You lost me after ‘received their Steam Deck OLED’
Got mine Wednesday and it’s literally flawless. I mean 10/10 some how better than my high expectations.
Mine is flawless too and I am super picky with these sorts of things.
Same. Everything I’ve owned has some faults but after 3 days with the deck I cannot find a single flaw. It’s literally perfect.
I got mine on Thursday and I am devastated. I had sworn to myself that I’d finally play Witcher 3. This time I am going to do it. Meanwhile I am playing Sky Force. A standard Euro shoot-them-up I had mastered ages ago. Deck plays nothing but that.
Clearly broken.
I swore I’d finally play 3D games made in the past 5 years yet I keep playing halls of torment…
Same here. Mine has technically been flawless.
My only complaint is that the super fast pixel response time is noticeable to me, so like 45fps feels like 40fps felt on the LCD Deck, IMO. Frames are just… More distinct from each other, to my eyes, on this OLED panel.
No issues here. (1TB OLED)
Mine is perfect
Only issue I’m having is the USB port not recognising flash shortage. Apparently valve are aware of it and the Preview build fixes it
Got 1tb today went from ok to fuck me - Spider-Man…… F1, Sniper Elite. 60fps Lego City.
Just got mine today. It’s flawless and stunning. I was concerned when I saw a puncture wound on the box but nothing on the inside was even touched.
Mine is perfect. Checked for dead pixels: none, no squeeky case like my lcd, no stuck buttons and no trigger problems. With my old LCD one, i had to fix the actual triggers when i got it at launch, had a squeeky case and changed the noisy fan.
Currently swapping the 512GB with a 2TB one.
For me, my buttons don’t get stuck, but x and y “rattle” a lot more than a and b. Could you maybe check for that on your unit. From what I read it’s x and y most of the time
Wild, my A and B rattle a lot, my Y rattles a bit, and my X doesn’t rattle at all. Seems like a production issue.
512gb Oled here, zero issues so far!
Had mine for two days, no issues at all!
Another two-day 1TB OLED owner here with no issues checking in.
Well… no one is posting: my steam deck works as advertised….
It’s the issue with reviews in general. It is rare for someone to take the time to comment when everything is good. So reviews almost always lean negatively.
