Hey guys, so I’ve had to jump my 2018 Jeep Compass three times in the past five days or so because I’ll get up in the morning and it won’t start. I’ve had three separate AutoZones or Advance AutoParts tell me that the battery, starter, and alternator are in good health and that I don’t need a new one, but then this keeps happening again. Is there anything else that it could be besides a battery problem? When I try to start it up the engine makes some sounds and tries to start up but doesn’t, and the inner console and ac all turn on fine.
The brake also gets locked up a bit, but I assume that’s just because the car can’t turn on, and even though it’s a bit locked up when I try to turn the car on it still tries to start up so I don’t think that’s a separate problem.
Any advice would be great thanks!!
You might have a parasitic load somewhere in the vehicle.
Check all the fuses with a multimeter when the vehicle is off. If you find one with current across it, that’s your likely culprit.
Yes try this diagnosis.
Thanks need to do with with my S10 Blazer. Same prob as OP.
