Seen both Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher criticising Alisson for being clearly fouled during the game saying he needs to do better, both amongst others said the same about Gabriel when Joelinton pushed him into the goal with both hands. What is with the victim blaming from pundits, can’t exactly do much when someone fouls you

That goal should’ve stood. The ref absolutely robbed City of that game.

Most soft reason you’ll see all year that will rule out a goal. Utterly disastrous refereeing.

It’s always been crap. Watched a game when ex managers like Wenger and Mourihno and it was worlds apart from the drivel I hear from these ex players.

Wasn’t a foul for me. Allison is notoriously poor with his feet and showed again today twice. If he can’t pick that out of the air with a small bit of pressure then he’s really lost it. If he played for Burnley everyone would say he was awful but alas he doesn’t.

Also the joelinton “push” was Gabriel bending down to flick the ball behind him with his head. Go watch again with this in mind and you will see he wasn’t pushed.

Keepers get far too much protection, goal should have stood.

It’s crazy to see how bad your pundits while in France I really think we have top class commentary with people who really know and understand the game without any click bait attitude!

One of the commentators on sky said that Trent smashed the ball in. Literally stroked it.

Another commentator said when Sterling scored the free kick that it epitomised his season. That makes no fucking sense.

In the Arsenalverse, punditry moved from:

Who is this David Raya guy?

    to:

Wait a minute, why did they go get David Raya when they already have Ramsdale?

    to:

Which one of these dudes is going to be the #1?

    to:

OMFG, Raya is terrible and Ramsdale is literally Oliver Kahn, why is he playing?

    and now, finally, to:

I wish they would just make a choice so people could shut up about Raya and Ramsdale.

Now. Here’s what actually happened: Arteta and Edu saw the opportunity to get a keeper they thought was better than the one they had. They got him, and immediately began starting him. He has continued starting. Arsenal has the best defense in the league, some of which is down to Raya. At no point has the actual behavior of the Arsenal coaching staff or front office ever really shown anything other than that Raya is the top guy, and will continue to be, other than Arteta doing a little faffing about in press conferences so as not to hurt Ramsdale’s feelings.

Oh, and if you watched the Brentford match? Aaron Ramsdale ain’t no Oliver Kahn.

Ah Gary Neville, the genius mind who invented the concept of a holiday, although his original trademarked term was “mini retirement”

We all know goalkeepers are a protected species in these sport and that “foul” is one of the softest ones I’ve ever seen, even for goalkeepers.

Because they’re both subjective decisions. Neither are fouls for me. Very soft.

Sky has got more audacious, it’s now about creating the perfect clip for TikTok and everyone plays an exaggerated caricature of themselves.
