I just replaced the shoes and drums. I made sure to gently sand down the new shoes on the edges so they are slightly more flat. Self adjuster is all the way back and the parking brake is off. Shoes are in as far as they will go on the cylinder. I made sure everything with the springs and strut are correct. Is there a way I can get this drum back on without access to a lathe?

Any chance you have the wrong drum? Is it just getting caught on the shoes on both sides at the same time? If its only one side, the slave cylinder’s pistons may not be centered(you can just push whichever shoe is sticking out more).

Correct shoes. Made sue the short shoe is in the front on both sides. Brake cylinder is compressed as far as it will go and I held both sides and gently tapped the shoes until they sat perfectly in the middle. I’m at a loss.
