I know the question is akin to saying ‘what’s the most chill PC game’ but nonetheless the question remains, what’s the most chill game to play on Steam Deck?
Metal Gear Solid V
Persona 4 Golden is super chill if you are into this sort of game.
Night in the woods, the art style is beautiful and it’s a short game with an interesting story to it
For me, Tetris connected and gris are winners with the stunning graphics and music.
I’m currently enjoying Station To Station. Really satisfying connecting my builds with rail and watching the ‘board’ color in
Rimworld!
Roots of Pacha if you’re a fan of Stardew.
Riders Republic.
Just bought it a few days ago with the intention of playing on my PC as saw it was unsupported by the SD - surprise surprise, it works perfectly for me on the SD!
I just cycle, ski & fly in ‘zen’ mode whilst enjoying the beautiful, stunning views. I think there may be a skateboard option but i haven’t unlocked that yet.
Love it.
My SD is the old lcd 512GB just in case that makes a difference.
I’ve lost 35 hours in Hardspace shipbreaker on my deck in the last 2/3 weeks. Tetris effect connected is very chilled and relaxing too.
I found that when I turned the timer and oxygen off, it’s a completely different game. It’s super chill, take your time, perfect relaxing dad game. But with coolant reactors, still give you one little challenge if you want.
With the timer and oxygen and one life no res, it’s stressful as hell.
The one thing that annoys me is the “shift” isn’t long enough but I didn’t want to spoil my progression. Maybe I’ll try the other mode.
I love FTL. Might be not as chill as some other options, but it is still very relaxing.
Just create your own bindings and you’re set to go.
Osrs
Dwarf Fortress. It’s actually super relaxing when your fort is running smoothly, managing work orders, building, decorating, mining.
Deliver us Mars
(or deliver us the Moon, prequel)
Firewatch
Firewatch, short game about 4.1 hours to complete. It’s a walking simulator that walks you through a pretty decent story. Highly recommend
