I am watching Sky Sports pre-match show now, and everybody on the table saying this 10-point deduction was harsh, and if you want to punish people, punish the owners and this and that…

I get it, Man City has over 100 allegations, and Chelsea has some too but that doesn’t change the fact Everton is in the wrong as well, personally, I think they will be fine even with the points deductions there are teams worse than them and they are playing well enough to be safe till the end of the season.

And if the end of the day, it’s proven Man City and Chelsea are also in the wrong, punish them, simple as that.

I just don’t get the feeling of “oh poor lads, they don’t deserve this…” Please, we have teams in history that suffered way more than a simple 10-point deduction and the level of outrage wasn’t near the same. We have teams that played in the Premier League out of league football because of poor management.

I don’t feel sorry for Everton as they have done something wrong and been punished.

However I don’t think the punishment matches the crime, and the FFP have set a standard and need to keep to it.

If city and Chelsea’s allegations turn out to be true, it’s a potential of 119 points to be dropped 🤷🏻‍♂️ according to FFP.

I could careless if city or Chelsea spend billions to win the EPL. But there are rules in place for everybody and if you break those rules then that’s called cheating and you’d could be punished HEAVILY!

I dont know. If this was an EFL team it’s another Tuesday. Wigan alone have had 22 points of deductions and a transfer embargo in the last 3 years due to shoddy owners the league allows in. Should be consistent amongst all levels in the FA, fuck around and find out

Because it’s not the players, or the fans fault that money was mismanaged, yet they are the ones punished

Cause we were due answers on Chelsea and man city much sooner than addressing Everton… If they would’ve dished out penalties to those 2, everton’s wouldn’t look that harsh after alll… Alas - PL picking on the less blessed clubs

Trivia: their new stadium (one that led them to this situation) also ruined the waterfront and made Unesco strip Liverpool off its UNESCO world heritage status, the third case of its kind and the most famous one.

    Yeah Everton deserves this.

Because scousers are experts at playing the victim. They broke the rules yet they would have everybody believe they’re the victims of a corrupt premier league. Take your punishment and wait until the verdict is in for city.

Everton have fully complied with the premier league requests and advice. They knew this was coming in some form and have been working with the prem to get things as compliant as possible.

City have done the opposite. Not only are they clearly so much more at fault but they’ve also not complied at all. The majority of there allegations are for non compliance. Yet they’ve received no punishment and continue to profit off rule breaking while Everton get a larger punishment than if they’d gone into administration.

Everton have been fucked over for being honest yet City have gotten away with being crooked.

Because if Everton get relegated, that’s administration and even liquidation. The situation for them is that bad.

There has never been a 10 point deduction in the history of the PL

The actual offenses are relatively minor it’s s dispute over expected losses during Covid so a 10 point deduction does seem harsh

It’s a narrative for a season that will probably be defined by Man City walking their umpteenth win.

Sky always tries to portray themselves on the side of the fan. They’ve been constantly on about owners at all levels because who the hell cares about rich people, but we can of course relate to the football fan.

They did it during the Super League debacle even though it was nothing to do with the will of the fans, it was that they do not have the rights to it and their business would have went under.
