I just bought my steam deck about 2 months ago and i love this thing. I’ve shell swapped it, upgraded the ssd and spent hours setting up and using steam games and emulated games. Now that the Oled is out, i really want it. I really need someone to talk me out of buying it and having 2 steam decks. i don’t want to sell the one i currently have because i’ve modded it and upgraded it.

I was in a similar situation. Bought a 256gb LCD 3 months ago, upgraded the SSD to 1tb and installed the JSAUX backplate. Then the OLED gets announced and I resisted…for about a week. Good thing about the mods is you can probably sell it a little higher. I sold mine for 400€ on launch day and paid 170€ extra for the 512gb OLED. So essentially I’m just downgrading a little storage wise but still more storage than my original LCD. You lose some, you win a lot :)

1 for Windows and 1 for SteamOS is how I justify it.
