Just paid €460 to replace airbag control unit

I have a 2012 VW Polo. Was I ripped off? Seems very expensive for a single part, especially when the car was completely drivable and you wouldn’t know anything was wrong, except the airbag fault light was on.

It’s not terrible also it’s not just fit it, it has to be coded and stuff too.
