I’ve been playing through FF7 remake and the explosions sear my retinas lol
KNYTT UNDER GROUND. Looks amazing on a oled screen
Okami also looks really good
Hi-Fi rush is jaw dropping

All of the blacks and dark reds make any of the Persona 5 family of games pop.
OMG yes Persona 5 is so goddamn good on the OLED the colors and contrast POP on the oled
Cyberpunk looks great
I’m waiting for my OLED to come (my very first hand held gaming device :D only had an old, second/third hand, gameboy when I was a kid) and I was curious if Cyberpunk runs at a reasonable / playable performance on the Deck?
Performance is good to me, about 50ish FPS if I’m remembering (currently playing through Witcher 3 dlc)
Ok! Looking forward to trying it out :) I am getting a bit nervous as I keep reading various reviews and comparisons to the Ally haha - I don’t think I have much expectations of top performance from AAA games, obviously, I just want a device that I can happily enjoy gaming on while I am away from my PC.
How’s the battery life and fan noise with this one?
Played yesterday when I had 70% battery and it said I had 2 hours left, would be curious what it says when I’m at 100%.
But the fan noise is very minimal, you can feel it but it’s only slightly audible. Very impressed.
On oled it’s about 2:30 hours using the steam deck preset. I don’t notice the fan honestly .
Which HDR option should we be taking for Cyberpunk?
Gears 5 😲
Just cause 3 looks great with all the colors
rdr2
Agree, especially at night
Diablo 4 and Hogwarts Legacy look amazing
How does Hogwarts Legacy run?
I’m getting 55-65 fps with FSR 2 on medium settings
I would love to see a video of how you’re getting that fps range in Hogsmeade.
You just mentioned the only two games I think they look horrible on Deck (I have an oled 512) 😅😅 I even tried to stream them from my PC to see if with ultra settings it gets any better but they just look very awful. They are just not made to be played at 800p. I would suggest to play them on at least a 1080p screen
lol, they initially looked terrible to me, too - did you enable FSR2? Once I did that, it was a game changer in graphics and performance. I’m getting 55-65 fps on medium settings on Hogwarts Legacy, and it looks great. I’m a snob when it comes to graphics and performance, so the fact I’m advocating that they look great, I’m having trouble believing myself, haha.
With diablo 4 yeah I tried also FSR 2 in quality. But nothing for me the characters just looked like they were out of focus and I couldn’t enjoy it. I’ll play D4 only from my laptop
Get Yuzu up and running and Metroid Prime Remastered… THAT is simply incredible!
Wish I had waited to play it on deck but I played it on my switch (not OLED)
I’m still finishing the playthroughs I was doing on my lcd and right now I’m on vice City definitive edition, and HOLY! Even that game looks amazing. Can’t wait to jump back to cyberpunk
Currently playing through Black Mesa and it looks absolutely gorgeous. A lot of dark places, ambient lighting and things that really make the game pop on the OLED.
Ori and the blind forest/will of the wisps
The ascent
The Ascent is criminally underrated.
Is that the cyberpunk twin stick shooter? I loved that game.
I will press charges immediately!
oddly one of the first games I played on my LCD because humble choice had given it me and i had redeemed, so now i will have to recheck it out!
Hard agree. I’m super plugged into gaming news and discussions and I barely heard about it. I only tried it on a whim when I was looking for something to try on game pass and godamn I was blown away.
blind forest doesn’t support HDR :( still looks good though
Battlefront 2 looks great and runs at 60 fps
Sekiro looks pretty great.
I’m impressed by Halo Infinite Multiplayer’s performance, but good god some of the textures look muddy as hell despite what settings I use. I also get some weird artifacting (like FSR). I assume this is from the resolution scaling when having a min/max framerate set. Anyone know what’s up with that and if there is any way to remedy it without tanking performance?
Is infinite SD compatible now?? Since when?
It’s been working for quite a while. The multi is free, too.
Any info about Halo infinite campaign performance on latest patches?
Halo infinite campaign
Sorry I don’t have the campaign on Steam to test it.
I did play it on Gamepass, though. It was enjoyable enough to see it through to the end, but I gotta say it’s one of the weaker campaigns in the series. I’d put 5 in last and this right after it.
Monster Hunter Rise
TLDR: everything
Yep. Literally anything with lots of blacks, lots of vibrant colors, or both will immediately look much better on an OLED. And wouldn’t you know it, the vast majority of games fall in that bucket.
Like others have said, Diablo 4. Looks great and I have been enjoying it a lot more on my deck than on my PC
