I’m a big fan of Safari and how seamlessly it works with all my Apple devices, but these ads are pushing me to the edge. I can’t even get through an article without being interrupted by some ad or another. It’s super annoying.

I’ve looked up older threads on this, and I’m choosing between two adblockers rn - Stop the Madness and Magic Lasso. They both seem like they could be a solution, but I’m not sure which one to go for. Anything that stands out?

Are there other options I’m missing?

I’d really appreciate any advice or insights you guys can offer.

So for everyone here using AdBlock how do you get around a web page refusing to load since it detects an ad blocker?

A lot of them refuse my visit outright until I select “Turn Off Content Blockers”.

I got Hyperweb mostly for the dark mode on Safari, but have found their adblocker seems to work well too.

Lol some ad blockers actually enhance privacy by blocking trackers. And literally every other app harvests your data

I don’t want to risk any third-party apps accessing my data

This is the most crazy reason I’ve ever heard for not using an ad blocker. You realize most ad blockers block more than just Ads? You’re actually protecting yourself from trackers, phishing, malware etc by using ad blockers.

I use Firefox Klar and integration with Safari activated. Pretty good to block ads.

Download Brave. It’s a browser, but works great and never has ads anywhere ever. Not on YouTube or anywhere else. If you really prefer the look and feel of Safari then one of the Adblockers others mention should work

Safari doesn’t have ads, websites have ads. Easy fix, like others have said, reader mode. I haven’t tried ad blockers but, there are some websites you can become a member of and ads go away, like blu-ray.com, they have forums, but ads are obnoxious, and so, if you sign up for free, all the ads go away, and you can post on the forums.
