Plug in headphones into the headphone jack of your OLED steam deck. If you hear bad static or hum - it means something is wrong and you should submit a support ticket so Valve prioritizes finding a solution. This issue is very widespread

Hmm… my deck has been fine so far. I’ve been using headphones almost the entire time I’ve been playing.

I hear a very slight buzz with my headphones on my otherwise perfect 512 GB OLED. I already RMA’d an LE model for two dead pixels that had the same hum so I figured it was software related. I’m not going to return this because it’s very faint and I feel like it’s so common that there might be a software fix.

    Don’t tell /u/p0pe_f0x

Dude can’t even handle people RMA for their dead pixels screen, he might just lose it knowing people will RMA for this issue

I’m experiencing this on the 1T oled with Sony ier-m9. So far I found two solutions.

    1. Using the apple usb-c adapter on the usb-c port solves the problem. The only down side is I won’t be able to charge while using my headphones.
    2. Using a 3.5mm impedance adapter can significantly reduce the noise as well.

yeah it just seems like interference, like on laptops. Don’t think an rma is going to fix anything

So far I tried with a pair of Sennheiser DT-880 Pros on my LE and 1tb OLED. No noise on either Deck.

White noise is fairly common on nearly all electronic devices. It’s only on the high end where you start getting the expensive audio setups with low noise.

Mine has crackling every time any audio plays. I’ve got a ticket open and will probably RMA. The headphone jack on mine is unusable. It was perfect on my LCD Deck.
