Jude Bellingham has taken Real Madrid and World Football by a storm right now!
He’s gathered 15 goals + 4 assists in just 16 games for Real Madrid breaking the records of Puskas, Di Stefano and Ronaldo himself. All of this while just recently turning 20 years old, with his entire career ahead of him.
What he’s doing is unheard of, perhaps only Ronaldo Fenomenon himself had a better start to the season than him as a 20 years old.
The differentiator however is his impact in the game, he’s truly bossing the free role at Madrid contrubuting in goals, assists, key passes, dribbles, crosses, headers, flicks, finishing, playmaking, 1-2 passing, off ball movements, interceptions, tackles, positioning, strength, dominating, work rate and even leadership… There is truly nothing that this boy can’t do!
I genuinely cannot point a single weakness in his game right now, he’s top of the charts for almost all attributes since the start of the season. So these achievements so far in the season brings the question, What is his ceiling as a footballer provided he continues this streak? Generational? All-Timer? GOAT candidate?
Goat talk already 😂 gimme 10 years performance that matches this season then we are talking. There are many factors that this output is not sustainable there were lots of greats in the past that succumbed to injuries or other ailments that couldn’t sustain the test of time. He is definitely in the best form that you can ask for any club may the god of football be with you
While I agree with everything you said, as a Madridista, the reason he scores so much is because we don’t have a proper striker. If you watched yesterday’s game for example, both Rodrygo and Brahim go wide for most of the game, so Bellingham sometimes is an attacking mid, sometimes is a false 9 and when defending he is our 3rd CM.
If Real Madrid sign an actual striker up front (I don’t want Mbappe, but maybe Osimhen?) he is going to occupy that space, so Bellingham will eventually drop deeper.
He is an amazing player without the goals (MVP of the German league with 19 years and without much goals).
If he is healthy; he is a hard working player, with the right mindset, all will depend on his team partners and the trophies he win.

Musiala was amazing, so was Jude. That said, Bellingham was much more impactful for Dortmund than Musiala for Bayern. To the point that him getting injured might have been one major reason why Dortmund weren’t champions going into the final day, and why Musiala’s last goal even meant anything.
Depends on who surrounding him. This is a team game. Any of you who watch Dortmund like I do would not have predicted this kind of production. Even when he was at Dortmund, he played with Haaland, Sancho, and Reus, but did not play at this level.
So, what changed? He moved to Madrid where every player is elite. Even the manager is elite who knows how to manage elite players. I predict his status will rise and fall along with the status of Real Madrid.

I used to be one of those who said Real Madrid will slow down Bellingham’s growth, but i proved to be very wrong.
If elite players is causing that performance then why other RM players aren’t able to replicate his levels.
I think the manager gets a lot of credit.
His utilisation. The next manager may use him differently. Benzema didn’t bang in many goals last season, but Bellingham seem to be the one scoring most. So what happened to the others that were doing it? It’s simple — how he’s being used.
I dont believe in players having a “ceiling”.
His start in RM has been insane and he is passing Ronaldo’s record without even taking a single penalty is crazy. I just hope this keeps up after the winter break
Ceiling is the same for him as everyone else: that yoke with a lightbulb hanging out of it

This is his peak tbh. Consistency is all that’s left to observe.
It’s hard to tell. With English players, it’s difficult because they all start strong in ages 17-22 and then they either break or slow down to accept an “average good player” role. Look at Welbeck, Grealish, Foden, Rashford, Cole (Chelsea), Owen, etc. I don’t know what the ceiling could be because after the age of 22 then we will be able to see a more mature version of him and he will have decided where he wants his career to go to.
Right now at his age he obviously seems overly mature in his game style and personality so the future does look bright! But we’ve said that with many other English and non-English players. We just have to wait and enjoy his progression.

There literally is no limit. He has potential to do ANYTHING in the game.
Regarding England however, Southgate will limit the fuck out of him ensuring his national career is capped to mediocrity & underachievement as a result.
Consistently doing that over a decade will cement him as a footballing great. Right now he’s had a banging start to the season at arguably the World’s biggest club.
His ceiling? Who knows. He may be burned out by the time he’s 24 or he may be able to do what the greatest players do and reinvent themselves when the going gets tough.
I have high hopes for him.

Greatest English player of all time will be decided when he hangs his boots. But I’ll say he is definitely on track with his performances at the moment.
It’s hard to think he’s gonna get better. He’s already crazy good. It’s consistency that’ll really make him great. Nobody expects the scoring to continue because it’s crazy but he’s the type to have a good game without having to score so he’ll be just fine when the scoring slows down.
Ye in terms of short term form this is as good as it will ever get for him. Outscoring the greatest goalscorer or all time… From midfield.
The question is what can he do long term.
I didn’t expect him to score this many and I don’t think anyone else did either. He wasn’t brought to RM to be one of their main goalscorers, this kind of happened by accident. I can see him maybe getting 20+ goals per season on a regular basis over the next 8 years or so, but probably quite a few less if they bring in an elite striker like Mbappé, who would need to be getting on the end of most goals.
Who else was going to score the goals for them though? Not exactly got world class forwards do they apart from maybe Vini who is overrated by the media.
Its La Liga we are talking about not the PL , players are good because they are good not because English media pumps them up. Vini is genuinely a star.
Actually I do expect the scoring to continue as long as he plays in those positions.
He has great finishing, his goal scoring ratio this season is not luck.
If Madrid signs a true 9 and see that the team plays better with Bellingham on the center of the pitch, then yeah he’s not going to score as often
But this season? I’d bet he’s going to destroy Lampard’s record.
He’s a more prolific scorer at real Madrid (so far) than at Dortmund. He never really needed to score to have a great match at Dortmund and influence a game.
Yeah it’s the consistency AND the moments that will dictate his legacy for me. He doesn’t need to keep up this level of scoring but if he shows up in a major way in int. tournaments and CL KOs then sky is the limit.
