Just pulled the trigger on an OLED. I haven’t played a game on my PC for over a year, it’s simply used to stream football matches to my Chromecast on the weekends.

I already have a laptop and a PS5 that can do the heavy lifting. I also have a PS Vita that gets used daily simply because it’s so convenient, so I know the Steam Deck will get some play.

Just curious about others.

Not quite. My PC is more powerful than my PS5 so that’s where I still play all the AAA graphical showcase-type games. That said, I have been playing almost exclusively indie games since I started using my Steam Deck…

My setup is destinctly for streaming my games to the deck. So I’m not NOT using my pc, but I got the steams deck two years ago and my new gaming pc this year with the intention of soley streaming my games to the deck. I can stil dock my deck anywhere with a tv in the house and sit back if I want, but I mostly just sit in my recliner with the deck in my lap.

Not ditched, but use less for most games. If we ever get to a point where I can play all my games, Xbox pc game pass without streaming, and the docking works like Switch, it would be bye bye

I use my PC to stream higher fidelity games to my deck. Smooth, good looking gameplay and long battery life on my deck and my PC still has a purpose (apart from productivity and it being my media center)

I’m definitely ditching my gaming consoles in favor of the SD, docked mode on my entertainment center. I’m not going to be traveling for awhile, and wince I only play it docked it really doesn’t make sense to purchase the OLED.

    No.

I also cannot play any of the games I play on my gaming pc on a steam deck.

    Like CS2. I need a mouse and keyboard and I need 240hz.

I haven’t used my gaming PC(8700k+2070S) and Gaming Laptop(razerblade 14 w/ rtx 3070) for almost 2 years. Been busy playing ps5 or switch and steam deck.

I can confirm that my 3070 laptop doesn’t get as much love as the Steam Deck, by a long shot

Nah, not even close. My Steam Deck is for when I want to play something controller-friendly that’s not a Switch exclusive, but can’t be bothered to actually boot up my laptop.

Don’t get me wrong, the SD is great, but it’ll never replace anything more powerful than a low-end gaming laptop/PC (if there is such a thing) in my eyes, especially for mouse+keyboard games. It’s more of a “bedside extension” than a replacement imo

I don’t have a PC and the day I eventually build one I’m a bit sad that I’ll probably do the opposite !
